About

Kyle Coopersmith grew up in a family of lawyers outside of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. His father was a criminal defense lawyer and aunts and uncles on both sides of his family are lawyers.

Kyle Coopersmith dedicates his time to helping people in difficult situations. When in law school, Kyle volunteered at Miriam's Kitchen—a soup kitchen and case management service for individuals experiencing homeless in Washington DC.

When outside of the courtroom, Kyle likes running races and going to the gym—using the same  persistence he brings to his work.

Experience

Before entering private practice, Kyle clerked for a federal judge in Washington DC. He worked on a range of constitutional rights and procedure, both of which inform his current work.

Kyle Coopersmith has also clerked for a federal criminal defense law firm, The Orenberg Law Firm, in Washington DC. In that role, he helped clients allegedly involved in major federal felony cases, including:

- January 6 prosecutions
- International kidnapping and arms smuggling
- Appeals relating to murder charges

He also clerked for a state criminal defense law firm, Schatz Steinberg & Klayman, in Philadelphia, PA.
